About this Site

1. Individual Learning Outcomes

Each Individual Learning Outcome (ILO) has the following information:

  1. Expected Outcome - statement of what the outcome is.

  2. Grade Level Continuum - a chart indicating which grades the ILO should be either introduced, emphasized or maintained. For more information on this see the section below.

  3. Concept/Skills - provides the background information for the concept and/or skill being addressed

  4. Integration Ideas - a list of possible ways to integrate the ILO into the curriculum.

  5. TAL Resources - a list of resources provided by TAL. These resources are usually either online or come pre-installed on all school computers. For more information on locating TAL resources please refer to the Locating TAL Resources page.

  6. Other Resources - a list of outside resources that could be used to meet the outcome.                                                      
  7. Add a Lesson - a online form for teachers wishing to add a lesson they have designed to meet this outcome. To submit a lesson you need to be a member of this site and logged in. Membership will not be available until the Fall of 2007. Teachers can still submit lessons before then by contacting Cam Good @ TAL in the Department of Education.


2. Grade Level Continuum

The Grade level continuum charts indicate the recommended grades the ILO should be delivered at.

Please note that Kindergarten and Grade 1 are treated as a single level in this continuum.
