Locating Resources

This section provides a series of short video tutorials on how to locate the TAL resources listed in the Learning Outcomes. All resources are accessible from both the Teacher and Student Access accounts unless otherwise noted. You will need Quicktime installed to view these videos.

1. Appleworks Templates - TAL has a large collection of curriculum related Appleworks files. In this example we will locate the Fairy Tale Edits for P1.2 edit and format text to clarify and enhance meaning: Appleworks Templates

2. Kidspiration Templates - Kidspiration has a number of built-in templates. In this example we will locate the Venn Diagram template for F3.1 compare similar types of information from two different sources: Kidspiration Templates

3. Inspiration Templates - Inspiration also has a number of built-in templates. In this example we will locate the Book Comparison Template for F3.1 compare similar types of information from two different sources: Inspiration Templates

4. Kidpix Lessons - Kidpix has a number of lessons. In this example we will locate the Volcano! Lesson which could be used for F1.1 demonstrate an understanding that technology is a tool: Kidpix Lessons

5. Graph Club Examples - Graph Club has a number of example files. In this example we will locate the Hours of TV activity which could be used for P2.2 enter and manipulate data by using spreadsheets, graphs, tables or databases: Graph Club Examples

6. Media Awareness Modules - TAL has licensed media awareness modules. These are accessible from Teacher Access only. In this example we will locate the Reality Check module which could be used for F3.2 understand the nature of various media and how they are consciously used to influence an audience: Media Awareness Modules

7. Web Awareness Workshops - TAL has licensed web awareness workshops. These are accessible from Teacher Access only. In this example we will locate the Kids For Sale which could be used for F3.2 understand the nature of various media and how they are consciously used to influence an audience: Web Awareness Workshops

8. Atomic Learning Lesson Accelerators - TAL has licensed Atomic Learning accounts for all schools. These are intended for teacher PD use only and should NOT be used to directly instruct students. Access requires your schools Atomic Learning login and password (see your ITC Curriculum Leader or Principal).
