Points of Interest

Thanks to Brad and Cathy MacKinnon (and Owen, Cameron, Laura, Rusty and Scout) who fed us a wonderful hot lunch - homemade soup, sandwiches and muffins!) to start us on our way.

The epic struggle begins.

We left Haines Junction after having a terrific lunch with Tara's family, the MacKinnons. We saw a variety of wildlife and several new kinds of plants.

Before leaving the Junction, the class ws treated to a presentation on Kluane National Park. After climbing a huge hill, several rest stops, and a flat tire, we arrived at a World Heritage site and the dead rock glacier. To end the day, we set up our tents and cooked our supper at Dezadeash Lake campground.

We're having fun!!
