Summer nanny needed in Nunavut: Igloolik July and August 2009   news:

Where: Igloolik, Nunavut When: July- August critical (an extension into the autumn a possibility) What: Child care of a 2 year old boy Compensation: Relocation and housing covered, food and daily wage to be discussed Skills: Understanding of early childhood development and experience with children, ideally those under 3. Interested? Please contact Julie at julesmross@yahoo.ca with questions and/ or summary of experience, why you are interested in coming to the arctic and name and contact information of 3 references.

If you like kids this is a great job for

  • some one who wants no expenses over the summer (international students/ or those in residence)
  • conducive to writing up graduate work in the evening as there are very few distractions, plus the child naps 2 hours a day and that time can be used for school work
  • a great opportunity to see a part of the world few see
  • if applicant likes nature – long weekends can be accommodated for camping trips etc
