Sara Larsson elected president of the Swedish Sami Parliament
(Barents Indigenous People, 28 August 2009) -- The elected representatives of the Saami Parliament in Sweden have been discussing the composition of their political leadership since the opening of the 5th mandate period on Monday. Thursday afternoon, they came to an agreement, and Sara Larsson (Min Geaidnu) was elected President of the Saami Parliament in Sweden. The President chairs the board of the parliament, which now consists of 5 persons out of altogether 31 representatives.
