Welcome to Watson Lake

Welcome to Watson Lake. The first nations in our area are called Kaska. Kaska people are spred over the two territories (Yukon and NWT) and Northern British Columbia. Watson Lake is a small town just north of the border of B.C. and about 435 km south of Whitehorse on the Alaskan Highway. There are approximately 1100 people living in the area. It is a small community with all of the emenities like a hospital, two schools (high school and elementary school), stores, brand new recreation center with active hockey, curling and bowling leaques, post office and hotels.
