Mesopotamian Contributions to the World
Intro
The Mesopotamians have brought many great achievements to our world, such as City-states, mathematical number system based on 60. Also they achieved the first written language (CUNEIFORM),and the invention of the wheel. These are the few things that I am going to talk about in my report. The mesopotamians have accomplished many things.
First Achievement
Sumerians first created the city-state. A city-state is a place where people settled together in one area. A Sumerian city-state consisted of the city, the surrounding mud brick wall, and the surrounding farmland.
Second Achievement
The Second Achievement
The second achievement that the Sumerians had was the first mathematical number system based on the number 60. It involved number different math solutions.
Third achievement
The third contribution was the writing system (cuneiform). It was a writing of different shapes and forms. Cuneiform consists of many different lines and shapes. It is complex and difficult to follow.
Fourth Achievement
A fourth contribution that the Sumerinas did was the wheel.
First the Sumerians pushed things on a bunch of log then the would take the back one and put it at the front. Then they cut slots in a board and put logs into them to make it easier to push. Finally they made the wheel. They put and axle between to wheels the pushed the stuff that was on top of it.
Conclusion
The Sumerians have created many useful things that we now use to base our maddens on. The Sumerians were very useful and smart people.

This site is about the ancient city of Damascus. The site is good because it talks about how old it is and about when it was founded. Damascus is a 3rd millennium city and is one of the oldest cities in the middle east. If you ever wanted to learn about Damascus this would be the site to go to.

Homo Sapiens ( Neanderthal )
The name of my group is The Homo Sapiens ( Neanderthal). Their timeline of life was between 133 000 to 32 000 years ago. They made stone knives, shelters and structures to keep them warm. They also made throwing spears, and harpoons. They learned to build things and are believed to be the first to bury the dead. They had some sexual dimorphism but very little. They are were a lot smarter then the early day Homo Erectus. They seemed to be well fed people. The Neanderthals originated in Europe, and The Middle East and Western Asia. There skull is very similar to the people nowadays. The average women was 5 foot one, 176 pounds and the males averaged at 5 foot 5 and weighed 185 pounds. They had very large brains up to 1300-1750cm3. They had very muscular bodies and very little were obese. Most were built like ox’s and still very strong with a firm grip. The were way stronger than Homo sapiens sapiens. Also, they had small generalized teeth. The neanderthals relied on meat for food and a healthy diet. They were the early homo sapiens of the world.

On a Deserted Island
If I saw some fruit that was high in a tree, I would get two pointy rocks. Then I would sharpen them with other rocks so they were like Nails. At last I would stab the rocks in to the tree and ease my way up to the fruit. I would take whatever fruit that was up there.
To carry water I would find a coconut, make little hole in it and the I would use it like a bucket to help me get water from the stream.
A long term need would be food and water. A short term need would be a bandage if I got cut. For food I would get fruit,(coconuts, berries, grapes, bananas and any other fruit that was there.) A long term need would be shelter. I would gather sticks, and use vines or the skin of coconuts to tie the sticks together. For a bandage it would probably be my shirt and it would stop the blood from flowing out of my body. The shelter would provide protection from the weather and probably a bit of warmth. Thats what I would do on a deserted island.
