Mickey and Mouse

It was another sunny day at the fishers house, no one was stirring not even a mouse. Well that's not exactly true. There was a mouse and he was awake all right.
MICKEY! The mouse hollered at the old, fat cat across the street.
What do you want this morning Mouse?
You bothered me all yesterday, can’t I have some rest this morning? Come back and see me later......and mouse.....this time......come in the afternoon. I have better things to do than be bothered by a mouse.....like sleeping for a change.
No! No no no no no no no no no! I even got up to do my chores.....A K A....bothering you!
If you don’t want me bothering you at all.......NO! I can’t go on vacation! Where would I go? The last time I ever went on vacation was 15 years ago. That was long before I met you! I’ll go back home and think about. Maybe we should spend some time part!
That would be so wonderful if you did leave! I would be able to sit and lay around all day if I wanted then! Mickey announced proudly.
W..w..well...ok then but if that's what you want....you know you will be plenty bored without me! Said mouse nervously.
No, you will be fine mouse, I will not be bored, sitting around in the hot sun is what I love to do and without you, it will be heaven, enjoy your vacation, because I know I will!
Ok....Mouse slowly walked back over to the fishers house, feeling quite bad about leaving his only friend to go make new. Mouse decided quickly that he was to go see his great grandpa in Mexico, then to see his mother and father and baby sister in the US, then he was planning on living in Africa with his great uncle and aunt.
He left the next day to Mexico. Mickey was there to say bye but as soon as he left on the boat, Mickey was on his way home for a lovely life in the sun.
     Finally!

     FIVE MONTHS LATER!!

Mouse was feeling GREAT! The feeling of being free was in him, he loved, he didn’t even miss Mickey! He got the chance to meet his Great grandfather and he took it all because of Mickey. He was so happy. But on the other side of the world, Mickey was feeling terrible he want Mouse back so bad. Ha had been calling mouse’s cell phone for ages and he has never answered, not even once.
Mouse decided that he should keep his cell phone on him for now because he had many missed calls but he didn’t know who from. So the next time that Mickey called, he Mouse finally answered and he had finally convinced Mouse to come back home, it took a few days for Mouse to get him home back but when he did, all was all right.

How Mr. Potato killed my best friend

I stepped on the bus this Monday morning to hear the routine yelling of my best friend Sam and a girl named Hiong-chen. Sadly, I sit right be hide them. They always yelling at  each other and they’ve been doing that since grade 4. We finally arrived at Springfield Public Elementary school, and they settled down. I walked up to Sam and asked him how the weekend went. "Oh pretty good... and the potato is still normal” Sam said. The potato Sam’s talking about is a science project that has been going on for almost a year now. He’s keeping a potato in this chamber that keeps it fresh, and soon he’s even going to eat it. “Also, Hiong-chen lost her bike and she’s blaming it on me!” Sam exclaimed.
At lunch, after classes, me and Sam sat down together to munch and crunch our lunch. Then Sam noted, “The potato eating finally is now on Sunday, not Saturday because of the leap year.” Then I saw Hiong-chen listening in, out of the corner of my eye, but I wouldn’t tell Sam.
When Friday rolled around, Sam came over and we played some hockey and took a walk. As we were walking Hiong-chen burst out of her door. She yelled at Sam, saying that he took her swim suit, and that she had a swim competition all day tomorrow. This time I knew Sam took it.
“Today is the day I will eat the potato” Sam announced through the phone at 9:00 am the next day. So, I got ready, but he kept urging me on. When I got there at 10:30 am, he had everything ready, even posters. He took the first bit. He said, “It sure doesn’t taste good,” but right after he said that he gobbled the whole thing up. Then he started feeling sick and his face turned all green. About a minuet later he collapsed. The ambulance came and took him away, but I knew that he was dead. Hiong-chen killed him, or is this how Mr. Potato killed my best friend?

Hail poem

hail storm

Small droplets of ice
they float in the night sky
frozen tears from god

Beads fall on the ground
no sound but the sound of hail
frozen droplets drip

tickle and has the...
felling of a thousand knifes
pain wont go away

slowly falls to ground
darkness musty gray the clouds
sun is no more dark

the lighting hits quickly
the darkness is thunderous
hail falling like rain

melts in a puddle
lighting strikes puddle its dark
hail is only sound

thunder hurts my ears
like a drum drumming in sky
it strikes fear in heart

its gods tears frozen
the tears of god from heaven
floe down from heaven

lightening cracks scary
dark clouds hover above,sky
thunderous big clouds

sun gone its night fall
grows dark and vary cold
storm growing bigger

big clouds turns to gray
 clouds get darker and darker
the sun is no more

hail feels like shape knifes
little knifes sticking in side
 bullets stick in side

hail lights up night sky
lightning pretty as can be
little drops of ice

Dreams Story (Vina)

It was a beautiful Saturday morning for Sindy Blockbuster because, at exactly two o’clock she was going to sign up for figure Skating! Even though everyone in the Vancouver Skating club was probably better at skating, and about thirteen years younger than her... she didn’t really care. It was just one of her dreams on her birthday wish list.

The clock slowly moved. Sindy could not handle the wait so, instead of just waiting her time by making her bum sore, she decided to run around the house like a little kid again. It was a bit weird because, she was already a teen-ager! She ran into bedrooms, bathrooms, and every other room that was in her house.

Sindy’s feet were pounding so hard on the floor  that her little sister, Cynthia eyes opened up in tears. Cynthia was only two years old, and was already a tattle tail. At least she could not say that much words! As soon as Sindy heard Cynthia crying she quickly tiptoed into her bedroom to make sure that her parents would not find out that she woke up Cynthia. If they found out it was her they wouldn’t  let her sign up for skating, and she really wanted too. This was  her only chance to sign up because, if she signed p next year it would be too embarrassing for her to be the oldest person in the group!

When the clock struck two, Sindy scurried up to her parents and told them that it was time to sign up for skating. Her eyes had millions of sparkles shining on them, with a huge smile on her face. This was the first time her parents saw her so happy. Sindy zoomed straight outside, and hopped into the families SUV. Waited for her sister and parents, and then was on her way to the ‘Canadian Skating Rink’. When her dad parked the car, Sindy was the first one to get out. She slowly walked across the road to go to the front entrance, with her eyes glaring side to side watching out for cars driving by.

Sindy was actually about to sign up for figure skating! Before she walked through the shiny red door, she started to be one of those people who were in space and made a similar speech that was a bit like, ‘One step for man...’ that type of thing. Except, SIndy’s speech was more like this...

“ I am about to walk into a rink to sign a piece of paper. It is one step for girl and one step for a pair of _____”

A little seconds in to her speech, her dad cut her off because, he didn’t want Sindy to weird in front of all the other people waiting to sign up behind her. Finally, she opened the door, smiling at the ice rink, the floor, and the walls. She could just imagine herself on that ice doing a special routine in front of a ton of people who wanted to watch her skate. Sindy knew it would be a dream come true.

When they walked up to the sign up desk, one of the coaches brang Sindy into the clubs office. The began asking her some questions like what her name was, how old she was, and a whole bunch of other questions. While they were talking, somebody knocked on the door to tell Mrs. Cherry (the coach) that all the spots for sign up were full. As soon as Sindy heard that a small speck of water slowly dripped down her cheek.

The coach could not handle her tears at all.

“I have a deal for you.” the coach stated.

“If you stop crying, I will give you private lessons at the small arena on Saturdays.”

Sindy did not know what to say to thank her.. she was to excited about the opportunity.

“But... coaching does not come free.” Mrs. Cherry declared.

“What do you mean?” Sindy asked.

“Well, this is the truth, and if you really wasn't to learn how to skate, you have to pay $500 per five lessons.”

“FIVE HUNDRED DOLLARS! That is like one hundred dollars every lesson!” Sindy exclaimed.

It took awhile for her to answer. SHe walked up to her parents and told her what the coach told her. As soon as she said five hun___ her parents said NO right away. Anyway, she knew they would never pay that much money for a 1 hour lesson, and also the Blockbuster family did not have enough money to afford the cost of the lessons.

Sindy led herself out the door... moaping. She began to run across the road without looking around.

    “SINDY!” her father yelled.

Her dad ran up to her, and pushed her to the side of the road.

    “Daddy?” Sindy questioned.

    “Yes honey?” He answered

    “You saved my life...”

When they got home, Sindy went right to her bedroom to have a little nap. It was a miracle that she didn’t get ran over by a vehicle. To her, dreams do not come true. But, miracles do!

My life in Tikal

Long ago in a far away place. Across the sea there was tribes of people yet not discovered. In one of those tribes there was a city called Tikal.
My name is Yucta. My father is the leader of the city. His name is rabbit foot. It’s a strange name but not to my father. He thinks it’s nobel, trustworthy and lucky.
My father has this thing about lucky rabbit’s foot.
One day when we were doing our every day chores like fishing and hunting, when this dot came out of nowhere! one the fisherman saw it. He saw pumas climbing over a wooden structure. The fisherman picked up his spear to defend himself when he noticed something odd. These weren’t pumas, these were humans!!!!!!!!!!!!
They dressed funny as they approached. When they finally came to the fisherman the men talked in a weird way witch the fisherman couldn’t understand.
“What are you saying?” said the fisherman. Then one of the men took out a floppy thing  and wrote on it.
When the fisherman left to go home the men followed him. the men stared in awe when they saw our town. Soon enough the whole town had a circle around the men. Then that’s when my father came. My father looked at them for a long time until he turned and said,
“Lets party!”
Every one had a good time until a whole army of men came out of the jungle. They had weapons we had never seen before!!! They attacked every one there. I hide in a bush.
Week 5 of being alone by myself. I’m one of the survivors living in Tikal. Actually every one survived and we won the battle, There’s a big party tonight. As they say “Alls well that ends well!”

Middle School

Carol turned her head to view the metallic square in front of her one last time before heading out the door. She wanted a perfect fist day , not like so many others that she had read in books. “Calm down you'll do fine” he mother tried to pros wade her, but it didn't keep her from squirming. She tweaked almost every piece of clothing at least once, and was constantly blowing little gusts of air to dry her nail polish. “Oh stop it” her mother stated impatiently. “your making me nervous”. that was a new one for Carol her mother was normally completely laid back and calm. I must be squirming allot she thought to herself. Trying to keep herself under control she sat on her hands and looked straight ahead. “and now you just look agitated, again your making me nervous”.

“Ok fine, but you know most or all of the kids won’t be able to understand me, and I definitely won’t fit in” Carol hands moved in a frenzied motion to tell this to her mother, she had been born without vocal chords so speech was impossible.

“Oh I see, your trying to make up for your voice with your looks” her mother replied, she always new what Carol was thinking. “Don't worry about it sweetie you’ll do fine, you know how to write and that can be your voice, or you could use this” her mother said with a bright smile. Sitting in her hand was a shiny new contraption, it said Talk 2 U on the shiny blue cover and when flipped open had a keyboard with a “talk” button. “This can be your voice” her mother stated excitedly. “I found it in the cosmetics store, and you can set a voice tone and everything.” Experimenting a bit she set a voice and said a few things to test each voice till she had the perfect one.

“This really works!” She she exclaimed using her new voice. her mom smiled warmly. In fact warmer than she ever had since she found out that Carol had been born without vocal chords, now her daughter could talk! The smile vanished as she saw the school come into view.

“Now remember don't use it unless your hands up because otherwise the teacher will here you ok? there's no volume  so I would hold it up if you get brave” her mother lectured her. she gave a sigh, her mother was all business all the time.

“Ok I love  you” her mechanical voice spoke again. Her mother smiled. This is something I could get used to Carol thought.

“Bye honey” she replied “and remember were the bathrooms are” she had a habit of making cracks in the tensest times. Smiling Carol ran off ready to start the school year. Viewing the school yard she discovered Brenda and Frog (Frog was an abandoned orphan that had been taken in by the Glassonburys. Her parents didn't care about her so they named after the first thing they saw, she was now Frog Balloon Glassonbury) Thinking about it she decided to go see them, when she spotted Ashley it was obvious that she had to go see her best friend first. Pivoting to that direction she ran off to see how Ashley’s summer was.

“Hi Ashley” Carol typed in her Talk 2 You device, greeting Ashley.
“Oh. Hi. Its you” Ashley stated uncomfortably, confused a drop a sweat trickled down Carols neck.

“Are you surprised I have a voice?” Carol questioned trying to be casual.

“Um Carol I cant be friends with you these guess are way cool and I cant  be friends with you and them, bye I guess.” The words were spat out like she wanted to get rid of them and then as abruptly as it had happened Ashley ran away. Leaving Carol too fight tears that were the strongest ones shed ever had experienced and they didn't take long to break through.

Rapping her arm around her was Shela the school athlete that had no friends. “I got dumped too” she said slipping a bracelet around Carol’s wrist. Just then a small person came up waving widely after a moment of confusion Carol understood them, they were talking in sign language.  Their name was Samantha and the had on friends and were hopping to make some along with Shela. They had started a Club for people who got friend dumped. “I think I will fit in after all” and for the first time at school Carol smiled.

Four-Leafed Clover

Tylise has always been lucky. All twenty years of her life were lived in luxury. she had never been in a cab(always a limo), she always got the newest and latest cars, and she never, ever had to share. She was even a stellar student. There was only one thing she wanted, and couldn’t get; a job.
Tylise was walking outside when she was a tall, blond guy with teal eyes appear out of Board Stiff. Shifting the bags in her arms, she smiled, looks like a job opening!  Sure enough, there was a large lime green poster, telling ‘responsible youth’ to get a job there.  The way her luck has been going in the past... lifetime, it wasn’t going to be up much longer.

With her precious shopping bags safe in the trunk, Tylise relaxed, she had money, clothes, a house, and... A JOB! Again, she thought, we’re going down this road again, without a detour, I hope! Even though Tylise is unusually lucky, it never held her jobs. She had been fired from seven jobs in the past month and she quit five others.
After three hours of concentrating on only her clothes/wardrobe she walked out and made a large bowl of jell-o.
While waiting, she walked down the street. The construction workers were almost finishes the house, she pondered. All the sudden the concrete rushed up to meet and connect with her face, she screamed bloody murder. Right before she fell, a hand shot out of nowhere, pulling her out of her out of mid air. She sighed audibly and turned to a pair of familiar teal eyes. From Board Stiff! She grinned,
“Th... Thanks!”, Tylise stuttered as wall as blushed.
“Names Riler.” the guy stuck out a hand.
When they shook hands, something knocked into their knees, a long metal pipe. Again, the concrete eagerly reached for her. This time she heard the harsh thud that suggested minor bruises on her knees and elbows. But it was loud, like two people fell at the same time, she whipped her head around to inspect the ground around her; to check for people that could have fallen at the same time. The ‘Riler’ guy was picking himself off the ground. Tylise felt her eyes widen, she was still on the ground! She quickly jumped up and brushed the now-existent dirt off her pants. Ugh! Then, sticking out her hand, she announced,
“And I’m Tylise Kirson!” She smiled her best, smile right before turning on her heels and marching home. She was fast-walking in ambition to get home before her archenemy, Carrie, came.
She walks into her ringing house. Running to answer the phone, she trips over the stairs. She answers breathlessly,
    “H-hello?”
“Hello, is this the Kirson residence?”
    “Y-Yes, can I help you?”
“Can I speak to Ms. Tylise Kirson?”
    “Yeah... speaking...”
“I’m sorry to say we have found a more suitable employer with more flexible hours, I’m very sorry, but your fired.”
After hanging up on him, she slumped against her favorite wall... the only colorful in her house. All this bad luck, all just for one person. She looked at her key chain, her four-leafed clover was gone.

Nicole's story

Wolfy McHowler

Wolfy McHowler woke to the sound of joy and laughter. His eyes wandered back and forth. There was an evil gleam of hatred. So many people happy and having fun. Ugh! It was Wolfy McHowler’s worst enemy.

He got up from the ground. His legs carried him to the entrance of his cave. Now he could see even more people. His mind exploded. Wolfy McHowler had to do something about this. As his evil plots took over his mind a young girl ran past. Her long blonde hair bounced on her head. This was Wolfy McHowlers chance.

Wolfy McHowler used his special super powers and made himself a cape. The cape always seemed to help him fly. He leaped into the air and flew. His front legs out in front of him like Super Man. Wolfy McHowler kept on flying until he came to Wolfster Palace. There he would talk to Captain Wolfsmane about his plans.

As he approached, Wolfy McHowler noticed that the palace and palace clouds were a different type of purple. And had grown even more yellow dots! It was just like his real home just down the street on Cloudsburry Lane.

Wolfy McHowler took off his cape and stopped flying. He tied his new shoes and on his hind legs, walked up the steps.

Soon Wolfy McHowler came to the Captain’s office. He took a deep breath and walked in. He told Captain Wolfsmane about his plan and asked what he thought of it.

“Well, those are quite good considering that your brain is the size of a grape.” Wolfy McHowler was quite offended, but let him keep talking.

“ So you want to attack someone to make everyone else afraid , so that they wont come back. OK. Now of you go!”

It was quite strange for Wolfy McHowler, because he never remembered how high the Captain’s voice was. And now he was wearing a pink dress! Oh well. Wolfy McHowler kept going.

On his way out , he briefly saw the King. It was a fish! Now Wolfy McHowler really wanted to leave. He flew down to earth and went into his cave. He looked out. He saw the same blond girl again. Now he could use his pan. Wolfy McHowler used his speed power and ran ahead. His blue tongue flew back because he was going so fast.

Soon he stopped behind a bush and watched as the girl came forward. Just as she went by, Wolfy McHowler jumped out and started chasing her. The girl screamed and started running, but she was to slow for Wolfy McHowler.

He caught up with her and bit her leg. The girl kept on going even though green blood dripped from her leg. He bit her again and this time yellow blood came. Soon people were running and screaming. Some even dailed 911. But instead of living a happy life, Animal Patrol came and took him away.

Now Wolfy McHowler is sitting in Wolfy Jail, now thinking of ways to escape. All the other wolves say that he is in denial, but would never really say that to him.

The Czech Republic

It was a sunny spring day as I looked out the window of our team bus. We were headed to our last game of the provincials. My team was already out and this game made no difference. It was pretty much just for fun now. We filed out of the bus and grabbed our gear. While we were walking towards the door of the arena my dad pulled me aside. He told me that he had something for me and that I wouldn’t believe what it was. I walked into the dressing room wondering what it was.

The first period was boring and all I could think of was what the thing my dad had for me was. When we came out for the second period I knew that I had to focus on the game more because we were loosing by a lot. The second was more interesting because I was able to focus more on the game. Towards the end I could barely remember what I was thinking about.

Just before we came out of the dressing room for the third period our coach came in. He told us that a scout was interested in a few of us. After  he said that I thought about it and forgot all about what my dad said. In the third I played a lot better too.

Normally when I go to hit a player I let up and don’t hit as hard as I can. This time I didn’t care and sent a guy flying. When I got onto the bench one of the guys on my team said, “Dude you made him cry!” I chuckled when he said that. The next shift I hit the same player but this time his glove went flying When there was five minutes left in the third I hit a very tall player that took a penalty on me because he got annoyed of me. All I did was laugh at him because it was very funny.

When there was about two minutes left in the third period I got a breakaway pass. I went in on the goalie, faked to the left, pulled to the right, and shot it top shelf. I felt good even though we lost 13 or 12-1. I quickly got ready for the bus ride back to Fort St. John.

When I got back to the hotel I asked my parents what they had for me. My dad said, “You’d better practice your Russian!” At first I thought my family was going on a trip but I was wrong. I was told that that scout was interested with me! This is what I get to do. I get to go to the Czech Republic for a two week hockey camp and exhibition games. There is also an international tournament that includes the teams  HC Sparta Prague (Czechoslovakia),
HC Letci Letnany, HC Lasselsberger Plzen, HC Slovan Bratislava Slovak Champions, HC Dukla Jihlava, HC Severstal Cheropovits (Russian Super League), and team Western  and  Eastern Selects that are both from Canada. They are all top level Bantam teams from the Czech Republic and Europe.

Some of the coaches that are there are: Ryan Parent who graduated from Charles UNiversity in PRague with a masters in Physical Education and has the highest international coaching license and Hockey Canada's Advanced 1 certification, Josef Bruk who is Dominil Hasek’s personal goal coach and is considered one of the top goalie coaches in the world, Marian Jelinek who is the personal coach of Jaromir and is the coach of their National Junior team and won a gold as the assistant coach of the Men’s national team, Kari Waldenstrom who works with Sweden's NAtional U-16 program, Goran Starnfeldt who coaches the highest level of bantams and head coach of his region’s selected team in this category and many more.

Along with all the hockey we get to take a tour of the Czech Republic. We go to the town of Melnik and see Melnik castle and the bone church. In the capital city of Prague we get to visit Prague castle, St. Nicholas Church, Charles Bridge, and the Old Town with all it’s shops and restaurants. There is also a half day tour to the Terrezin Concentration camp and a one day bus tour to the town of Czesky Krumlov and Hulbolka castle, that predates Buckingham palace by 500 years.

They choose kids in AA and AAA Peewee level for the team next year in all of western Canada. I was lucky because I was playing at a AA level and it was my first year of rep hockey. I go in April, 2009 and get a lot of advice from well prepared coaches. I am so excited and I can’t wait. The coolest thing is that about four months before I told my family I wanted to go to a camp in Russia and they said dream on. It was funny and now my parents tell me to go for everything I want. Also my grandpa went to Russia as the top western junior coach and was with team Canada (juniors) in the seventies. This makes me very excited about the great opportunity I have.

The Wolf Attack!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The Wolf Attack! At My Cabin

We are in the truck driving to my cabin it is three in half hours to get there finally we get to the place were we need to stop and get out and started to walk the snow was really deep so it made it harder to walk because we had heavy backpacks on. We started to walk up the hill when we got to flat ground we saw a wolf our dogs stared to distract it wale my dad got the gun ready to kill the wolf he killed the wolf.
After when my killed the wolf we were almost at the first ravine we we were  really tired but we had to keep going we had to get to our cabin before dark. At last we made it to the second ravine we had to go around it. We are now headed to the river it is flatter here so it is not that hard anymore my dad said only an hour we have to go throw forest before we get to the lake.
We finally  got to the lake but we were shook to see lot’s of wolfs attacking each other my dad had to kill all the wolfs before we can crosse the lake but first we got all the wolf body’s then we brought them to our cabin we cook all of the wolf body’s for supper

13-Way Poem (Shark)

I’m in the ocean
Looking for small fish to eat
Swimming under boats

My head moves around
I love the smell of fresh blood
Don’t splash or i’ll bit!

Sharpest teeth on earth
People are scared to see me
I am very big

Tail, creating waves
Looking for me to appear
No where to be found

My pointy fin shows
People coming to get me
Trying to kill me

Swimming into net
The water soon disappears
Feeling my skin dry

My color is gray
I may look like a dolphin
Just slightly larger

Nets are no big deal
I can come out of them fast
No worries are brought

I live in a ship
Located on the bottom
I love the ocean

Only see colors
Down here on the Ocean floor
No one plays with me

What a boring life
Sleeping in my rocky bed
ZZZ....Now sound asleep

Looking for some food
Lights are shinning over top
Waiting for my Lunch

Winter has come...Trapped
No way to get out of here
Shivering all day

Gopher Haiku

    Scurrying along
    Killing your grassy green fields
    also your horses

    So little and cute
    Its so helpless and small
    Running from danger

    Sniffing at the air
    Looking around for danger
    AAHH! There is a dog

    I'm running away
    They are chasing me, monsters
     Uh Oh. I'm cornered

    My nose is twitching
    My eyes are darting around
    Shinning in the sun

    They pick up a stick
Pointing its black end at me
    Boom! I fall to ground

    They all point at me
    look at the squirrel!they say.
    Ugh! I'm a gopher!

    Sleeping under ground
with light only from the hole
    waiting for summer

    I start to wake up
    The ground is getting warmer
    Its time to come out

    Gophers young or old
All the gophers are the same
    They all annoy me

    Living under ground
    eating grass and other plants
    I am a gopher

    Sitting on the ground
    breathing in the morning air
    watching clouds go by

    a frosty morning
    there are snowflakes every where
    winter soon to come

Favorite Animals-13 Different Opinions

Horses are the best
say girls around the country
some boys say it too

Giraffes are the best
their long necks reaching all trees
spotted creamy brown

Any dog is fine
short haired, long haired, or floppy
frantic, wiggling, pups

Cats, so sleek and fun
lazy or quick, they are cool
mostly good tempered

Has to be just wolves
not a house dog, but a wolf
so sleek and rapid

Chickens are flying
squawking, squabbling, they are best
I think chickens rock!

The best are cheetahs
their bodies streamlined with wind
spotted fur rippling

The water dolphin
smooth and sleek, cutting water
intelligent, smart

Leaping, graceful deers
lightning quick when you show up
wonderful creature

Hopping quick bunnies
fluffy, stumpy tails wagging
nibbling plants, flowers

Mice are so awsome!
so cute with long tails and ears
so don’t put out traps!!

Ravens are common
so we take them for granted
Ravens are the best

Ladybugs crawl slow
over fields and valleys too
I love ladybugs

Teenagers

You have to fit in
You have to be popular
You are now a teen

You can see the fear
You can feel the fear inside
You want to fit in

You feel imperfect
The fear of embarrassment
Tears always falling

Some people love it
You want to be just like them,
Want to love the life

Of being a teen
Not fair for you to suffer
For them to have fun

Making fun of you
You are the one that has to cry
The one that has to hide

Hide the fear inside
Girls fight through gossip and words
Guys fight physically

Some just leave it all
Like it is nothing at all
Don’t care about it

I wish I could be
Like the people that don’t care
But I take it in

Like I should listen
And fix what they told me wrong
Making me feel bad

About real me
Feel bad about what I am
Until I get home

I call my two friends
They say to ignore them talk
That they are all wrong

I feel lots better
I throw all the fear away
I believe my friends

Assault Team Alfa

It was a particularly quiet day out on the base. The cold was starting to get annoying though. I was wondering what the Germans were planning. It’s been a month since their last attack. CRACK!!! speak of the devil, I thought to myself.  Looks like one of our snipers just got the first kill of the day. There was pooling red around were the german had fallen. It wouldn’t be the last I suspected. I ran up the stairs, “You see any more?”. Prvt. Camble replied, “Not at the mome.........wait, HOLY CRUD! There’s hundreds of ‘em! Get those MGs up!”. He grabbed the radio and screamed, “Crouts! We need back-up pronto! Get those MG manned now!!!”, A few seconds passed, then a net of bullets rained onto the Nazi’s. The snow started to turn red with blood. “Looks like we’ve fended off the first wave”,. said Prvt.Camble with relief.
About half an hour had passed. Just then, a monstrous machine with an 80 Inch gun came over the ridge. Someone screamed over the radio, “PANZER! Get an assault team out there no.... aaaaaahhhhhggggggggg!!!”. BOOM!!! There was rubble and bodies all over that section of the base. Another person screamed, “Wells, get your assault team out there now!” I rushed to get my gear on. As I ran through the armory I grabbed what looked like a Bren (sub machine gun) and a colt 9,11(handgun). My team quickly followed. I had five unit members. Prvt.Davis, Prvt.Jhonson, Prvt.Berg, Prvt.Morris, and Prvt.Louis. We all rushed out to take on the panzer. “ In the trenches!”, I screamed. Once inside Prvt.Berg yelled, “I’m going in!!”, and as soon as he got up he fell. Dammit Berg!!!!!!!!! “Check his pulse.” I said. “He’s gone”, said Prvt.Morris. I grabbed his ammo. “Let’s continue.”, I said sadly. We continued to crawl through the trenches.
The Crouts had already noticed our progress. I saw what looked like twenty of them coming down the trench. Just then they rounded the corner and opened fire. Prvt.Davis, Prvt.Morris, and  Prvt.Jhonson were hit.  I charged and hit every one of them. It was only me and Prvt.Louis left. We continued down the narrow trenches. All of the sudden, a grenade flew into the trench. I ran out of it’s range. Louis had the grenade in his hand about to throw it. BOOM!!! The grenade had exploded in his hand. I was the only on in the unit that was still alive. I continued down the trench. I came to a point where the trench had collapsed. My only means of getting the tank was to all out charge.
I started to run. Unfortunately it was waiting for me, fortunately it missed, blew my legs off, and sent me sailing into the cockpit. I thought Grenades, damn they were on my lower body. Wait YES. I just remembered the grenade in my upper pocket. I took it out. pulled the pin and stuck my hand straight up to the air. Then everything went black. It didn’t even hurt other than the fact that I had up to my waist blown off. I slowly drifted out of existence, knowing I had done the right thing.

The Unfortunate Girl

To anyone who doesn’t have a home, Miracles do happen!

On a night where the wind gets under your skin sat a girl in a cardboard box trying to keep warm. With her bowl outside her box, she waited for money. Ashtyn has gotten gosse bumps and has got numb. She sees nothing but darkness.

Bright yellow breaks through her cardboard creak. She blinks and rubs her blood shot eyes. The light breaks through as she opens her home. The bowl filled with cobwebs, not money. She gives a sigh of sorrow and gets up. She starts her begging as she does everyday. She looks over and stares as a lady and her two kids walk by.

“Would you like something?” questions the lady.

    “umm.....I er...” stuttered Ashtyn.

“We will be happy to give you money for food and a shelter, but to many others spend it on the pointless and harmful things.”

    “Well...I would.....um...like sss-ome food.”

The lady digs in her purse and pulls out a ten dollar bill. Ashtyn hoots and parties as she grabbed it. Ashtyn’s never got a ten dollar bill before.

“Thank-you so much kind lady!” exclaims Ashtyn.

The lady nodded and walked down the sidewalk. A couple hours later Ashtyn has collected twenty dollars. She picked up all her Things and put them in her box. She has decided to move into “Fancy Lane”.

    “What cha doing?”

Ashtyn takes two big gulps and slowly turns around one foot at a time. Her eyes widen in terror as she looks straight on at the “Howlers”. She backs away slowly but trips over her box.

“What's the matter? Baby can’t walk?” snapped a Howler.

Ashtyn struggles up, but closes her eyes instead.

    “Ahhh.....” yelled The Howlers.

Ashtyn opens her eyes to the lady’s face. Ashtyn shakes in fear. She then scrambles to her feet.

“I’m proud of you, not spending the money on worthless things.” stated the lady.

“My name is Amber, Amber Woods. I don’t think the streets are a safe place for a girl of your age. How old are you any ways?”

    “I’m seven miss.”

“Streets are defiantly no place for a seven year old! I would be honored if you came and lived with me!”

    “I...I...I will!”

“Great so grab your things and come with me!”

The walk was dead silent until they got to the house. It was big read house with a balcony out the front. Ashtyn gleamed with happiness and hugged Amber.

“How did a young girl like you end up on the streets?” asked Amber

“My parents left me in the box when I was five, I don’t know why they did it though?” answered Ashtyn

They raced to the house and pulled the big white doors open.

    “Mooooommy!”

Ashtyn stood like a rock as Amber’s girls Caitlin and Breagha run up to her.

“Caitlin, Breagha.....met your new sister Ashtyn!” hollered Amber

    “Yeah!” they screamed

They hugged and lived together for ever very happily.

Rain

Plump little rain drops
falling from the sky, oh look
theirs one dropping by

covering the grass
spider webs all filled with dew
rain is falling, run!

clouds turning gray
can they be grumpy today?
crystal clear rain drops

thunder is crashing
little rain drop warriors
lightning is flashing

umbrella goes up
 yellow rain jacket and boots
angry dark gray clouds

crystal clear or blue
argument that always lasts
what color is rain

falling from a cloud
incredibly beautiful
simple drops of rain

blue, sad are alike
rain the background for sadness
sun is so happy

drip drip drip water
falling from the sky above
grass is wet with dew

I look down with fright
I have to jump only way
to avoid falling

sun bright in the sky
car coming by tragedy
 the sky spits out rain

refreshing calming
pitta patter on window
blue blue no rainbow

pitta patter rain
curled up on my reading chair
dive into a book
