Biology: quiz: rotifers, wildlife preserve plant activity/wildlife info, and microscope labeling
PE: running in am (bring running shoes and appropriate running clothes: shorts/track pants, t shirt, socks, etc)
** please note: the heat will be turned off all weekend, so the school may be very cold on Monday.  Dress appropriately :)

Tuesday 1 September
Biology: Read pages 324-334 on mollusks.
               Lab day (at Wood Street Centre): squid dissection/calamari

Wednesday 2 September
PE:
cycling in am (we will cycle on the Schwatka Lake road, so bring an appropriate bike); bring helmet, bike tube/patch kit, jacket, gloves/mitts, touque, water, snacks as we will be doing field work outside all morning
Biology: complete mollusc lab (analysis questions #1-6, #10, and conclusion)

Leave WSC at 6 pm to go to Teslin: bring Friday's lunch, snacks, water bottle, sleeping bag/thermorest/pillow, toiletries, WARM CLOTHES, rain gear, rubber boots, trip journal, pencil, day pack, duffel bag, sunglasses, sunblock, hat

Field trip: to Haines Junction for forestry/field work/biology/geography
Bring: (2) lunches, snacks, day pack, duffel (for overnight gear-sleeping bag, thermorest, pjs, pillow, toiletries), journal (ziplock, pencil), waterbottle, sunglasses, hat, sunblock, toque, warm clothes, rubber boots, rain gear...
ALSO if you have medications, please make sure you give me an extra bottle/vial for the first aid kit.

Wednesday 16 September
Field trip to Haines Junction
We'll return in the afternoon.  Parents will be called after all gear has been cleaned and put away.

Thursday 17 September
Socials 9: Geography travel pamphlets due; be prepared to present your pamphlet during class.  Each pamplet must include topography, climate, vegetation, and map of your geographic region.

Friday 18 September
PE: sea kayaking skills day at Schwatka Lake.  Bring an entire change of warm clothing (you WILL need to change!), touque, swimsuit (for under wetsuit), towel, gloves/mitts, lunch, water, snacks, sunglasses, sun hat, sunblock, wetsuit if you own one (we have neoprene gear at school you can borrow)... SNOW FORECAST FOR TODAY!  Be prepared!!!  :)
