There was a girl named Isabelle and she loved watching the stars and looking at the 9 planets, but the one thing she loved best was shooting stars. She had pictures all over her walls. She saw all the 9 planets and stars but never a shooting star. She looked every night but she saw nothing.
The next day she looked on her computer and checked when there was going to be a shooting star and it said; the next shooting star will be on the 20th of January 2006. She said "oh my gosh, that’s tomorrow." She asked her mom if she could have a telescope. Her mom said "yes."
Isabelle’s mom gave her $50.00. Isabelle ran to the store and bought a telescope. When she got back home she asked her mom "when is dad coming back home?" Her mom replied, "in an hour."
So Isabelle rushed upstairs and took out her telescope to read the instructions. She didn't want to wait until her dad came home so she set it up herself. By the time her dad came home from work she was all done setting up her telescope. She went back downstairs to look what time the shooting star was going to come out. The computer said the shooting star will come out at about 8.00 p.m.. "That will be in another hour," Isabelle said to herself.
Her mother announced that it was supper time. So Isabelle ate as fast as she could so she wouldn't miss the shooting star.
When she got upstairs it was 8.00 p.m.. Isabelle went right to her telescope, staredinto the sky and right, at that moment, she saw a shooting star. As soon as she saw it, she made a wish. She wished that she would see another shooting star so she could take a picture of it.
The next day at school everybody was talking about the shooting star. Isabelle got her wish to see a shooting star.
