We traveled on two different ferries.
The first ferry we rode on was the FVF Chenega.
We went from Haines Alaska to Juneau in 3:00 hours.
It was a fast ferry; it travels at 60kms an hour
We came back march the 31, on the Taku it was a slower ferry, and it took 5 hours to come back. It is 107m long; 23m wide. It travels at about 34 kph.
It has a capacity of 450 passengers, and 69 vehicles. it has hot food cafeteria, bar, solarium, forward, aft, recliner, movie, and business lounges , gift shop.
It has 8 four-birth cabins and 36 two-birth cabins.
I like the Taku the best because it has bigger rooms then the Chegena.
I think the ferries are very cool.

The
Great Pyramid of Egypt is built mostly of limestone some weighing as
much as 50 tonnes! Most of the blocks weighed 2.5 tonnes. The stones
were pulled to Giza on wooden sledges. It’s though that over 4000
skilled masons worked on the pyramid and possibly 100,000 farmers
joined them during the inundation period. (Annual flooding) The workers
were paid with food and drink rations. Approximately 100,000 bundles of
onions and 200,000 loaves of bread were supplied daily to feed the
workers three times a day. The limestone was brought from the quarries
at Tura. The limestone was ferried over across the Nile River from the
East Bank. The Granite was shipped from quarries at Aswan, some 800
kilometers away. The Pyramid has an angle just short of 52
degrees. Many people think the stones were just simply slid up on
ramps and then flipped up in place. Some people think the stones were
lifted into place by immense machines, personally I think it was lifted
and pushed into place, or for the taller parts, simply were slid
up a ramp then lifted or flipped them into place .
The number of stones to build the great pyramid is 603,728!

Keno’s adventure on the Queen Fury
Keno was a lonely Ice dragon. Keno was from the frozen city
of Fletz.
He was 3 years old. His parents died from a hunting raptor and he was
lonely. So he decided to go to a giant city named Sharp Claw. He got
there by
flying. He was
looking for an owner because he was just a young dragon. So he asked all
of the Dinosaurs in sharpclaw but
they ignored him.
So
he decided that he would go on their famous boat. The Queen Fury. There
were hundreds of Dinosaurs boarding it. When he got on he decided to
explore. While he was exploring he found a green Dragoon named Albert.
Keno asked “ can you take care of me?” “Sure” said the green Dragoon.
Then
they went in the next room and found a blue turtle. It was a
squirturtle ! They were rare turtles and they found one! They asked
it to go with
them and it responded with “SQUIIRRTTUUURRTTLLE” “Ahhhhhh!” yelled
Keno. But
Albert
just stood there because he had seen scarier stuff like swords with
eyes. And suddenly Keno went flying across the room
from a sudden smash! They had just crashed into a ship that came from
nowhere!
And
it had blue flames surrounding it! It was a ghost ship! Skeleton
pirates came pouring out and then “WING BLASTER!”And a green dragon
came out of Albert’s back! And killed the pirates. Then they went
home and then after that day Keno was more adventurous but didn’t go on
any boats.

Tiny’s crunchy adventure
There
was once a tiger named Tiny. He was on a search for a bandicoot named
Crash. Crash’s family had killed his parents in war when he was a
kitten. Now he was a teen.
He
was getting ready to leave inferno island. And he decided to go to
cortex mansion for one last time and then when he got there he saw
crash and his gang. He ran after crash from the shadows but a giant
bandicoot named crunch stopped him. And then N.gin and dingodile came
and knocked him down and then tiny ate crunch! And then crash yelled
“WHOA!“ and then tiny ran away.
“Thanks
guys.“ Tiny said.“no problem“ they said. And with that they flew away
on their stink mobiles. Now tiny was going to his temple wondering why
crash was there. But he was full from eating crunch. He at least knew
why he was called crunch! Because he was crunchy!
As
soon as he got to tiny temple he was greeted by a small bear named
polar. “What are you doing here?” asked Tiny. It responded with “agh!”
and then ran away. He continued into the temple to see master oda
booga. And instead of oda booga he saw crash and then they fought and
crash spun out tiny and then they threw T.N.T at each other and they
both died. And the secret was that they were stepbrothers and they
killed each other and that is a lesson to them.

He was a jar and Jar was his name. Jar was the same size as a human teenager 170 cm. he was skinny, and rainbow colored, and he had magic powers. He glided when he moved because he had no feet. He was twelve years old and lived on his own on Earth.
One day he went to the mall to go shopping.
The shape shifters, aliens, evil dogs, and crazy weather had taken over the mall, and there were a whole lot of them. The evil dogs were wrecking the clothes by playing tug a war. The aliens were shooting lots of people with their new weapons.
The shape shifters were turning into teenage girls and teenage boys and the crazy weather was breaking the windows to get in.
Jar was mad at them because they were wrecking his favorite mall. The first thing he saw were the dogs wrecking the clothes, then he noticed the aliens shooting people, than he saw the shape shifters turning quickly into seniors. He tried nicely asking them to leave but they did not listen to him. He got angry at them and threatened them with his magic powers. The shape shifters, evil dogs, aliens, and the crazy weather got scared of him when he use his magic powers. So they left Earth so they wouldn’t get shouted at again.
He went home to call his mom and tell her he had a rough day.

Writing Tools
Located between Kluane National Park and Kluane Lake along the Alaska Highway is the "Best Little School in the Yukon". We don't let being a small school stop us from exploring big ideas. In between harvesting cranberries, exploring Sally's Snail House in Silver City, performing the Yukon's most entertaining Christmas Concert, writing and recording music cds, skinning muskrats, flying in a deHavilland Beaver over to our penpal school in Pelican, Alaska, and raising salmon fry from the Kluane River we can be found hard at work in the Yukon's one and only kindergarten to grade eight post modern one roomed school house. Check us out!
