Dear Diary
Today was Lucianna’s b-day partee. The partee started great. There was a monkey! There was also a big cake and a magic man! I was the fastest runner during tag and I got to help hand out cake! I was the best behaved. I was ready to come home and prove my momma wrong, she said I wasn’t invited as a friend. Why would Lucianna invite me if I wasn’t her friend?
I was proud of my bestest behavior at the partee. When the partee was over me and my momma were waitin for my goody bag. Yes! A bracelet or a yoyo I thought. But when our turn came Senoras Ines handed me money. She told me I worked hard for it. She called me her pet. Pet? I thought I was luciannas friend. I didnt want the money. Momma grabbed my arm and we walked home. All I wanted to be was her friend. I woulda never thought they would treat me like that just because I was the daughter of the maid. My momma was right , those kind of people aren’t your friends.
Good night

Dear Diary, The other day at the party, I realized that I wasn’t invited as Luciana’s friend, and that I was invited there to work. Although I had fun, it wasn’t an invite to have fun. Now I know why that little girl with the bow was telling me that I wasn’t Luciana’s friend. She said I wasn’t Luciana’s friend and I tried to tell her that I really was but now I know that I am not her friend. I am only their maid’s daughter and am probably going to be their future maid. When Senora Ines offered me the money, I felt used and just wanted a bracelet, or a yo-yo. I now know that I am not going to be more than a maid.

Dear Diary:
This was the day of the party at Luciana’s house; with everything that I thought was great. Such as the monkey and the magician with all the kids, that I thought were my friends. Luciana’s cousin made me feel like I wasn’t part of the birthday party but, I didn’t think that she was right. I had this feeling that I was right! Things change fast though. When I thought I was having a good time, things flipped. At the end of the party I was treated as if I wasn’t invited. I should have listened to my mom. She said that, “ You shouldn’t go, you aren’t there for the party.” I didn’t listen though. I just went to the party and it ended up me being there for the help. Like my mom is to the house. She’s a maid. And I guess I am going to take after her too.
Ps. I didn’t even get a yo-yo or a bracelet at the end instead I got money.
Yours Truly, Rosaura

Stolen Party Diary Entry Question 3 Gabriel
Dear Diary, I learned that friends may not be true friends. I learned that things may not be what you think as they appear. People may just be using you, you might just be there to help them with something… The party has really hurt my feelings. It was a surprise to me when the girl in the pig tails said I was not one of Luciana’s friends. So I kicked her and said I was one of her friends. I thought I was the life of the party, I was having the time of my life. At the end of the party when Senora Ines was handing out the toys to the kids, I just wanted to have a yo-yo or a braid but instead she gave me money. I thought it was to much, then I realized that I was there to just help with the party, I wasn’t there as a guest..

Descriptive Paragraphs
I woke up in a small cabin. As time passed, I adjusted enough to realize that I was freezing. I felt like I had just walked into a freezer in my summer togs. I walked across the room to check the fire. When I opened the stove, it was colder than a polar bear’s nose. Then I ran my fingers through my hair, wondering what to do, and I felt a blinding blast of pain
There was a huge bump on the back of my head. Or maybe it was. I couldn’t tell. The bump didn’t feel too high, but it extended over the entire back of my head. And it hurt like I had never imagined before.
After I got used to the bump, I decided to look around the cabin. Just like thestove, the room was freezing. There was a counter against one wall and a bed against another. A small table with a bump like the one on my head was between the counter and the bed. I wondered what it was for. Next, I decided to got outside and explore, as I had found winter gear.

Descriptive Paragraphs
I awoke. My head was throbbing. It felt like some one had used my
head for a soccer ball. Despite my pain, I couldn’t move. My arms and
legs were strapped to the table I was on. I was in what looked like a
cabin. How did I get here I thought. All I remembered was going to
sleep in my tent and hearing a loud bang. And now I’m here. I saw a
shadow and shortly after I was out like a light.
Once again I awoke. This cabin was strange. But I could still tell it was a cabin. Straight across from me
was a window. This window was different though. It had little bugs
carved into it and along the side of the window was little red dots.
The door was black with a single white dot in the center. To the left
was a couch, or at least I thought it was. This couch had huge holes in
it. Nearby was a small yellow wood stove. In between
the couch and the wood stove was a little rock sized hole with a light
shining through it. In addition to this weird cabin I could hear this
racking sound coming from the back of the house. This house is a
monster I thought. As time passed my eyes became droopy and I soon fell
into a soft sleep.
Within minutes I was awake again. This time to find myself inside
my tent. I unzipped the tent door. At first the sunlight blinded me,
but shortly after my eyes adjusted. Weird I thought. I was in my
campsite, and it was just the way I had left it. It must have been a
dream I told myself.

Before I knew what was going on, I found myself on the floor in a cold cabin. I had a huge headache and a big lump on my head. It felt like a bull was raging around inside of my head. In addition to all of that, I had no idea where in the world I was. I had heard footsteps behind me but by the time I turned around it was too late. Next thing I knew after that, was I got knocked out cold again.
Within minutes I was conscious again. This time, inside of my head, there was a raging bull. There was a broken tennis racket right next to me. Even though I didn't know who's it was, I got some tape and taped it back together. Meanwhile, my attacker was hiding in the closet right across from me. He saw me looking around in his direction and jumped out to attack me again.
In the same way as the other times, I woke up with a painful headache. I was looking around for my attacker and I couldn't find him anywhere. I went around to the other side of the house to look for him but I tripped and hit my head on the door. This time I finally woke up without any pain. I realized it was just a horrible dream.

The Similarities and Differences between See Saw, The Outsiders, The Cool Crowd, and Handling Anger and Resolving Conflict
The Outsiders, See Saw, the Cool Crowd, and Handling Anger and Resolving Conflict. The similarities? The differences? Read to find out. The Outsiders is enjoyable for all ages and entertaining, while See Saw shows what people can do and interesting I thought. While the Cool Crowd was a little more educational and school bound. Finally, Handling Anger and Restoring Conflict was also more educational and was a was more of a learning story. The similarities between these four stories are that all of these stories have a lesson. The lesson in See Saw is to not prejudge people or to think twice about people. The Cool Crowd tells you not to keep some one out of things or shun them. The Outsiders, has many examples, such as to do what you can with what you have. As well as not to prejudge people, or assume you don’t like them just because of their race, colour, or religion for example. While Handling and Resolving Conflict explains some of the different types of people and how they react in situations so you will know what to do when some one does something. Another similarity of these four stories is that they all make you think. Think about what you should do. Such as, to give some one a chance to get to know them. Or, to be open to anyone. Now, the differences between these stories. One difference between these stories is that they all have a different author. Another difference is that these stories all have to do with something different yet alike at the same time. Well, that’s it, and I’m hoping its good enough, so, leave me alone now please.

Gun Shot By: Cole I woke up drowsy,my head was throbbing and I was blind for a couple of hours. Once I could see, I realized I was in a cabin. It was cold and there was no wood in the stove. I got up and started to look around. BANG! There was a gun shot. The bullet hit me.
The pain was in my leg. When I heard the gun shot it sounded like a wild animal shrieking in the night. Everything was slow-mo, I thought about nothing but when the bullet hit me I thought that I could have dodged it. The blood was a waterfall draining out of my leg. Eventually, it stopped. BANG! Another gun shot.
The bullet came towards me again. Before it hit me, I looked at where it came from, the right window. I saw no one. The bullet hit me in the same leg. In addition to the second bullet in my leg. My leg started to bleed from the second hole and got numb. Meanwhile, I thought “who would do this to me?” I got up found something sharp and cut my sleeve off from my shirt and bandaged across my leg, therefore it would stop the bleeding. In the same way, like a dam. After it stopped bleeding,I adjusted the bandage and ran as fast as I could out of that place on one leg.
The End!

Handling Anger and Resolving Conflict, See saw, The Cool Crowd The Outsiders Handling Anger and Resolving Conflict is about how to control your anger and different types of anger. The story is also about how you can resolve the problems of being frustrated and confused about life. The story is also what can happen with the conflict and how it can happen.
See Saw is about a crowd of kids that are the “popular” crowd. A new girl comes to the school and her new friend Paige is apart of the popular crowd. But when Paige and her new boyfriend have a party Charla isn’t invited and she feels left out. Charla thought that Paige was her real friend but she was wrong about that.
The Cool Crowd is a story about a “Cool crowd” and a not so cool crowd. This story is also about how some kids also don’t really fit into any of the cool crowd. But in this story to there is peer pressure of teenagers trying to fit in the cool crowd.
The Outsiders is also about anger and conflict. For and example Johnny kills a socs leader Robert “Bob”.

All three of the stories are very creative with the story line(s) and the people in them. See Saw is a play instead of just a story. All of the stories have cliques and people being left out.
See Saw and the Cool Crowd both deal a lot with cliques and telling people what cliques are and not to leave anyone out or exclude anyone. The Outsiders is a novel and in it there are two groups the Socs and the Greasers. These two groups are sort of like cliques only a lot bigger and less specific. See Saw is a play instead of just a story. Handling Anger and Resolving Conflict is all about anger and dealing with it and conflict.

Common Themes on Handling Anger and Resolving Conflict, See Saw, The Cool Crowd and The Outsiders.
These four stories seem very different, but they all deal with situations that kids can relate to. Some of the situations you hope to not get into –like getting involved in a murder like in The Outsiders- but most situations are everyday stuff.
A few examples of these things are getting mad at friends for small things after a hard day; popular kids not letting you do much talking or trying to get you to change for them; and having a hard time at home, but ending up putting things back together to name a few.
Another common theme between these stories is that they all deal with teenaged kids, and their daily life. See Saw was the one that showed teenagers' life, because it was a play about that. These stories can seem very different, but have the same theme - teenaged life.

The Similarities of The Outsiders, See Saw, Anger and Resolving Conflict and The Cool Crowd The Outsiders and Anger Management both have problems with anger and controlling it. See Saw was about people bullying other students just like in Anger Management as well as The Outsiders. But in The Outsiders more aggressive behavior is shown. The Cool Crowd was also about fitting in and people pushing other people out of their groups.
Some differences are : The Outsiders was more of a story. Anger And Resolving Conflict was less of a story and more commentary with examples of anger and the effects. The Outsiders was a longer story and the rest of them were short stories.

I think the moral about “The Outsiders” is: take care of yourself, don’t judge a book by its cover, and people should not be stereotyped.
I think the theme “Don’t judge a book by its cover” is important because e.g.-Ponyboy, he looks tough and could be scary in a dark ally but he loves sunsets, going to movies, reading, his family and friends.
I think with “Take care of yourself” for “The Outsiders” novel because you could end up as a person like Dally, he’s mean, but he can be nice, he only cares about himself usually, and he didn’t take care of his body (He drank and smoked). I think that with Johnny getting beat up by Socs (which they beat up Johnny really bad) still doesn’t mean that all Socs are bad. Same with Dally, he's a Greaser but he's really mean and all but he can still be nice, e.g. when Dally found out that Johnny died, he felt that he didn’t care about any one else.

The Outsiders
The Outsiders is about the problems between the Socials and the Greasers groups. There are many problems in this book. It's like non-stop excitement. There is a lot of fighting between the “Socs” and the “Greasers”. It’s about friends and how they are always there for you when you don’t have anyone else.
Socs are the rich snobby kids who have madras shirts, short hair and nice vehicles. Greasers are poor people with long greasy hair and raggy clothes. I think S.E Hinton made this book about her high school life and how there were two separate groups and how they didn’t get along because of there different life styles. I like this book and I thought it was kind of sad when Johnny dies. I think you would like this book too.

The Outsiders I think the purpose of the novel The Outsiders is that you shouldn’t prejudge people. You should get to know people before you say anything about them. Don’t say something about them just because of the group they are in or their religion. Another purpose for the novel I think is that you should do what you can with what you have. You should make the best of the situation that you are in. I also think that this novel is meant to bring people together. You should try to get along with people that you don't even like.

The Outsiders S.E. Hinton is a person who, when in her teens, started to write a novel about what it is like to be when you’re teen. Things in your life don’t always go as planned when you in a gang and even when you alone. It is hard when you’re a Greaser and when you live in a city. There is a hard life if you live by your self. It is better if you’re with some friends. For example in the book it is like when they got in to a big fight, they needed their friends. It is hard to be a Greaser when basically everyone hates Greasers. Hinton tells us not to prejudge someone before you even know them and not to make assumptions about their appearance.

November 10,2006 The Outsiders By S.E.Hinton
The Outsiders is a sad story.. But it's how life is to be a Greaser.
A Greaser is a poor person who lives in the west side. The Socs are rich teenagers, that like to pick on the Greasers because the Greasers have long greasy hair, and live in bad families. The Socs are rich snobby teens, that wear madras shirts and drive mustangs. Socs have rich families that are not broken apart.
The Greasers are a gang of teenage boys of various ages . Ponyboy Curtis is one of the main character, Johnny is his best friend. Ponyboy has two brothers named Darry Curtis and Sodapop Curtis, the other members of the gang are named Two-bit, Dally, and Steve. But one night Ponyboy and Johnny get in to some problems with the Socs. Johnny killed the leader of the Socs gang named Robert “Bob”.
Dally is another one of their good friends. Dally gives Ponyboy and Johnny a gun and tells them where to hide. Ponyboy and Johnny are now in a old church up in Jay Mountian.

The Outsiders Commentary
The Outsiders is a book about the struggles between two social groups. The story is like one big rolling ball of trouble. The Socs and the Greasers are constantly fighting. The Socs are rich kids with short hair and madras. The Greasers are poorer with long greasy hair and old shabby clothes. Pony boy Curtis is a boy who lost his parents and lives with his brothers. The story is about his life and his struggles as a greaser.
I think S.E. Hinton wrote this book to reflect on her life and to get her thoughts out. S.E HIntons point to this novel is to not judge people before you know them. And that everyone is capable to do things. This was a very good book.

The Outsiders: November 8, 2006
My opinion on this book is that it starts off as a good book but it goes into mischief, well the main characters do and the book starts to turn around. The author S.E. Hinton of the book The Outsiders is a good writer in my opinion and writes very interesting things in the book. Maybe another reason she wrote this book is because she might have felt this way about her life and decided to write about it. I would recommend The Outsiders to somebody else.
For example, in one part of the book one of the Socs start to drown one of the Greasers named Ponyboy Curtis. The Soc that was doing this was named Bob. When you're reading the book you think Ponyboy Curtis is going to die from the Soc Bob. The story turns around and Bob ends up getting stabbed by Ponyboy’s best friend Johnny. This happens because Johnny panics and doesn’t know what to do to save Ponyboy Curtis so he stabs Bob with his switch blade. And the other Socs run.The Socs were all drunk and didn't know what they were doing. They didn’t know that Johnny as one of the Greasers would turn around and kill one of the Socs. Even at such a young age of 16. After this Johnny and Ponyboy runaway. Before they run away the go see Dally in other words Dallas. Dally gives Ponyboy and Johnny fifty dollars to buy a week's worth a food. When they get to the church they go to sleep and Johnny disappears. Later on threw the story Johnny and Ponyboy go out for lunch with Dally. When this is happening the church catches on fire with a bunch of kids in it. Johnny and Ponyboy go save the kids and Johnny gets trapped in the fire. He gets rushed to the hospital, and dies days later.
