Gun Shot By: Cole I woke up drowsy,my head was throbbing and I was blind for a couple of hours. Once I could see, I realized I was in a cabin. It was cold and there was no wood in the stove. I got up and started to look around. BANG! There was a gun shot. The bullet hit me.
The pain was in my leg. When I heard the gun shot it sounded like a wild animal shrieking in the night. Everything was slow-mo, I thought about nothing but when the bullet hit me I thought that I could have dodged it. The blood was a waterfall draining out of my leg. Eventually, it stopped. BANG! Another gun shot.
The bullet came towards me again. Before it hit me, I looked at where it came from, the right window. I saw no one. The bullet hit me in the same leg. In addition to the second bullet in my leg. My leg started to bleed from the second hole and got numb. Meanwhile, I thought “who would do this to me?” I got up found something sharp and cut my sleeve off from my shirt and bandaged across my leg, therefore it would stop the bleeding. In the same way, like a dam. After it stopped bleeding,I adjusted the bandage and ran as fast as I could out of that place on one leg.
The End!

I think the moral about “The Outsiders” is: take care of yourself, don’t judge a book by its cover, and people should not be stereotyped.
I think the theme “Don’t judge a book by its cover” is important because e.g.-Ponyboy, he looks tough and could be scary in a dark ally but he loves sunsets, going to movies, reading, his family and friends.
I think with “Take care of yourself” for “The Outsiders” novel because you could end up as a person like Dally, he’s mean, but he can be nice, he only cares about himself usually, and he didn’t take care of his body (He drank and smoked). I think that with Johnny getting beat up by Socs (which they beat up Johnny really bad) still doesn’t mean that all Socs are bad. Same with Dally, he's a Greaser but he's really mean and all but he can still be nice, e.g. when Dally found out that Johnny died, he felt that he didn’t care about any one else.
