Dear Diary:
This was the day of the party at Luciana’s house; with everything that I thought was great. Such as the monkey and the magician with all the kids, that I thought were my friends. Luciana’s cousin made me feel like I wasn’t part of the birthday party but, I didn’t think that she was right. I had this feeling that I was right! Things change fast though. When I thought I was having a good time, things flipped. At the end of the party I was treated as if I wasn’t invited. I should have listened to my mom. She said that, “ You shouldn’t go, you aren’t there for the party.” I didn’t listen though. I just went to the party and it ended up me being there for the help. Like my mom is to the house. She’s a maid. And I guess I am going to take after her too.
Ps. I didn’t even get a yo-yo or a bracelet at the end instead I got money.

The Outsiders: November 8, 2006
My opinion on this book is that it starts off as a good book but it goes into mischief, well the main characters do and the book starts to turn around. The author S.E. Hinton of the book The Outsiders is a good writer in my opinion and writes very interesting things in the book. Maybe another reason she wrote this book is because she might have felt this way about her life and decided to write about it. I would recommend The Outsiders to somebody else.
For example, in one part of the book one of the Socs start to drown one of the Greasers named Ponyboy Curtis. The Soc that was doing this was named Bob. When you're reading the book you think Ponyboy Curtis is going to die from the Soc Bob. The story turns around and Bob ends up getting stabbed by Ponyboy’s best friend Johnny. This happens because Johnny panics and doesn’t know what to do to save Ponyboy Curtis so he stabs Bob with his switch blade. And the other Socs run.The Socs were all drunk and didn't know what they were doing. They didn’t know that Johnny as one of the Greasers would turn around and kill one of the Socs. Even at such a young age of 16. After this Johnny and Ponyboy runaway. Before they run away the go see Dally in other words Dallas. Dally gives Ponyboy and Johnny fifty dollars to buy a week's worth a food. When they get to the church they go to sleep and Johnny disappears. Later on threw the story Johnny and Ponyboy go out for lunch with Dally. When this is happening the church catches on fire with a bunch of kids in it. Johnny and Ponyboy go save the kids and Johnny gets trapped in the fire. He gets rushed to the hospital, and dies days later.
