Cliques

All three of the stories are very creative with the story line(s) and the people in them. See Saw is a play instead of just a story.  All of the stories have cliques and people being left out.

See Saw and the Cool Crowd both deal a lot with cliques and telling people what cliques are and not to leave anyone out or exclude anyone.

The Outsiders is a novel and in it there are two groups the Socs and the Greasers. These two groups are sort of like cliques only a lot bigger and less specific. See Saw is a play instead of just a story.
Handling Anger and Resolving Conflict is all about anger and dealing with it and conflict.

The Outsiders Commentary

I think that the purpose of S.E. Hinton's the Outsiders was to show people that life is hard and that even when things are looking down usually you just have to work through it.

I think this because a lot of times in the book it seemed as if there was no hope but they continued through and worked hard and everything got at least a little better. Like when ponyboy got jumped and then his brothers helped him. At first it seemed that ponyboy would die but it got better.
