Site Features
1. Postings
There are two kinds of postings:

| News
| ICT News and Views for Yukon Teachers
| | Resources | ICT Resources for Yukon Teachers
|
Postings appear both on the Home page (in reverse chronological order)
and in their Department page (TAL News & Resources). Posts can also
be viewed by clicking on dates on the Archive calendar located on the
Home page.
Clicking on the title of any post will take you the web site the post is about.
2. Membership
Visitors to the TAL Weblog have the option to join the site by using the Join Now link located in the membership section.
You need a valid email address to join. The information collected is
stored within a protected database and is not located anywhere on the
site itself. Members can change thier information at any time by logging in and using the Edit link located in the membership section.
Members can participate in the Discussion Group and have the option of receiving postings through an email bulletin
3. RSS & XML
Another way to access the information on this weblog is through our RSS feed.
RSS, which stands for either 'Rich Site Summary' or 'Really Simple
Syndication', is a way of keeping up-to-date on new postings on your
favorite web sites, news pages, or web logs, without having to travel
to each one separately. People use an RSS aggregator to open the XML
files from these sites. To see the XML file for this web site click on
the small XML button below the navigation area.
Using a service like Bloglines, you can enter the URL for the TAL Weblog XML file and start receiving the our postings via RSS.
Manila has its own RSS aggregator. To read the feeds that the TAL Weblog is collecting visit our RSS section.
5. Search
TAL Weblog is searchable from the Search TAL Weblog page. You can
also expand your search to the entire internet by toggling the WWW
below the search box.
